I have not done a DNA test, how can I participate?

To participate in the DNACambodia project, we recommend taking a MyHeritage DNA test, as our project is hosted within the MyHeritage platform.

There are two ways to join our project:

  1. You can purchase a MyHeritage DNA test yourself. 
    Once you have completed the test, you can choose to share your results with us so we can include you in the DNACambodia project and support you in reviewing DNA matches.
  2. You can request a free DNA test through DNACambodia. 
    In certain cases, we are able to provide a MyHeritage DNA test at no cost. Availability depends on funding and project capacity.

 

Please note that it is no longer possible to upload DNA results from other testing companies to MyHeritage. For this reason, starting with a MyHeritage DNA test is the best option if you wish to participate in our project.

 

If you are searching for missing or unknown family members, we strongly recommend being present in as many DNA databases as possible, like Ancestry, 23andme and FamilyTreeDNA, as people test with different companies.
